Missing Crew

A yacht and its crew were reported missing Friday while on its route from the Caribbean to the United Kingdom. The 40 foot boat started taking on water and in the process lost contact with outside resources. Officials believe the crew fled on lifeboats but the four men have yet to be found. Both the United States Coast Guard and the Air Force have been helping on this so far over 4,000 mile search radius but nothing has come up yet. Thoughts and prayers go out to the members on the Cheeki Rafiki and hopefully everyone returns safely.

Mono Mono Twins

An Ohio family is excited to welcome their brand new twins into the world this past week. This rare birth was monoamniotic "mono mono" in which the babies share the placenta and amniotic sac. It only happens in around 1 out of 10,000 births and will be one to remember for Doctor Justin Lavin. The twin girls were holding hands during birth. Before delivering baby Jenna and baby Jillian, both under 5 pounds, the family had to spend lots of time at the hospital. These rare twins can suffer from umbilical complications and therefore had to stay under close supervision. Now the family is excited to bring back two younger sisters for their 15 month old boy.

Hair Act Ruins Circus

After a few entertaining rounds of acts at a Rhode Island circus, one went wrong. An apparatus in which people hang from their hair didn't work causing 11 people to be taken to the hospital. The audience of around 3,900 people believed it was a part of the act until others started screaming and they realized it wasn't. The "Hair-Hang" has been done numerous times and has never been a problem in the past, but now it's a process of figuring out where it went wrong and what the circus group can do to prevent it from happening in the future.

Slashing in Connecticut

After being placed in highly supervised medical facility, a young man at a Connecticut high school is being charged with slashing classmates with knives and killing a 16 year old girl in the process. While fleeing in a nearby stairwell Maren Sanchez was cut in the neck, chest and face. It is said to be she was victimized due to the fact Maren rejected the boy's prom proposal and he wanted to get her back for it. Measures were taken to save the girl, but it was too late and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Homicide charges are still being debated.

Bus Stop Gone Wrong

After a bus driver allegedly left his school bus unattended, the bus rolled away in a Maryland school parking lot. 5 students were brought to the hospital after the incident, after the roaming bus hit 2 students right in front of the school building. Tho two students who were specifically hit were taken to a trauma center for serious injuries. One individual was pulled out from under the bus and taken to a hospital for life-threatening injuries. Officials have not named the man/woman who was supposed to be on the bus that day, but i'm sure further charges will be placed one school officials find out.

Five students have been transported to hospitals after a collision involving a bus near a high school in Beltsville.

Summer School

Due to the ridiculous amounts of unnecessary snow days this 2014 school year, all Northeast Wisconsin schools will be participating in the summer long school program. School will continue until August 3rd and all students will report to summer school from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm. Unless you want to be served chicken patties every day for dinner you must pack your own lunch during this time. Recess will consist of organized handball every day from 12:00-1:00 and a snack will follow this time. Bring nothing but your bodies, no learning will be involved; only your time is needed. Bus services will not be provided.

Professional Snake Handler Dead

Pastor and reality star Jamie Coots was killed from a single bite of a snake yesterday in Kentucky. He died because he refused to be treated after getting bit because a passage in the bible said that if you were under the hands of god you would be safe, but not in this case. The third level "serpent handler" was well known  in the area and had spent much time with all sorts of previous snakes in the past. He even was in trouble with the law a few years back for keeping more than 70 snakes with him in his own home. The congregation Jamie led will now be passed on to his son.

Death After Birth

After being hooked up to ventilator tubes for weeks, a mother finally was able to give birth to her son. The brain-dead woman from Canada needed to stay hooked up in order for her baby to grow inside of her before later delivering. Around Christmas the woman reported of having an awful headache and when her husband returned with Tylenol she was unresponsive yet still breathing. After shortly being diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage, the countdown was on. The husband knew shortly after his son being born he would lose his wife; and he did. The day after giving birth Robyn Benson passed away leaving behind a husband and her newborn. A fund has been started to help support the single dad.

Drifter Finally Found

After drifting across the Pacific Ocean for the past 13 months in his small boat, the castaway has finally been returned to land safely. Jose Ivan Alvarengo reached the Marshall Islands, his boat in rough condition after being continuously being smashed against coral reefs over this time he has been gone. He was found on Thursday and is now in the hospital recovering and has been telling telling reporters and officials of his long
journey. He was eating birds he killed himself when he saw trees and later a small chunk of land. On the land he found two women and finally made a call for help. The shark expedition he left for in December of 2012 didn't go as planned and because of his highly exaggerated dramatic stories, people have a hard time believing him.

Killing of The Sharks

As they do in Australia every year, the first shark has officially been killing. This "culling" otherwise known as selective gathering brings a lot of controversy with it. The conservationists in the area are not thrilled about what is going on, because it not only is leading in deaths but is also being blamed for the many fatal shark attacks along the coast. These hooked lines attached to these floating drums is aimed at catching great white sharks, the most dangerous predators in the water today. Because conservationists are having such a problem with this occurrence, baited drums are being taken out of the waters and tracking monitors are being used instead. This way nothing gets hurt, but information is still being retrieved.

Famous Panda

As we all know, most babies are cute when they are born, but in this case it's something that will stay cute forever. Little Bao Bao, an 18 pound panda finally made her national debut into the National Zoo in Washington on Saturday. Being the chill panda she is, at this stage in her life, currently at five months, she rather enjoys eating, sleeping and laying around. Although many people will make the long trip to go see Bao Bao and her mother Mei Xiang, during these early stages of her life she will be spending a lot of time in a den resting and having their own private time. The name means treasure or precious in Mandarin.

Body Mix-Up

After her mother passed away while on a cruise, her daughter did not at all expect for her to not show up to her own funeral. Apparently, a different woman that from New Jersey was found in the casket instead. According to reports, Margaret Porkka died after feeling lightheaded while on a Caribbean vacation. She later died at St. Maarten Medical center at the age of 82. Her family was very concerned about her death since she lived a very active life and seemed perfectly fine before she left. Currently after wiring $7,000.00 and sending documents to get their mother back they were still unable to get the correct body. There is a possibility it was sent to Canada and cremated. All in all they still just want her back in America.

Man Who Cried Bigfoot

According to Rick Dyer, Bigfoot will now be touring America with him after he has shot it. In September of 2012, the beast was slayed apparently near San Antonio, Texas after many previous run-ins with the creature. While camping overnight in a tent, he was able to capture what he tells people to be the Bigfoot he later shot, but outside sources say his credibility to stories involving the giant man are just that...stories. He lured the beast in through baiting by nailing pork ribs to a tree in hopes of attracting him, which apparently worked according to Dyer. News conferences are set up to show the world what he has done, but after the fake incident in 2008, I don't think many people will fall for his stories once again.

As I'm sure many if you have heard, the hit show Duck Dynasty has brought much controversy to our news. Phil Robertson has been kicked out of the show as of a few weeks ago, but has been brought back to attention that he will be returning back with the crew come spring. Along with his return, a new line of Duck Dynasty shotguns have been put onto the market. These 9 guns, a semiautomatic rifle and a semiautomatic pistol are supposedly out there to help build back the reputation of the show. Although they aren't all intended for duck hunting, these waterfowl camouflage pattern it is perfect for small game of sorts. All guns with additionally come with  a flag bandanna.
